Makaira

She remembers shadows and voices.
One of them called her "Makaira". She doesn't have a lot of memories from her time as a tadpole. But either way, once she had grown out of that stage of her life, she was alone.

Makaira grew up in a small, warm cave with an underground lake. There was no day or night, no weather, no exit. It was her whole world. But when she slept, she dreamt of endless waters.

She dreamt of a voice calling for her, pulling her closer.
And after countless dreams, she had found it's origin: Within the sand lay a small pendulum shaped bottle, made from frosted, blue glass.
When Makaira reached for it, she couldn't breathe anymore.
She was suffocating.
She was drowning.
She grabbed the bottle anyway.
And died.

Makaira awoke in her cave, gasping for air.
It had been a dream, but in her hands lay the bottle, a storm raging within.

Shortly after, an explosion shattered her cave's wall and a half-orc by the name of Gorbash fell into her lake.
Makaira pulled him out of the water and he helped her out of her cave. Suddenly, her world became so much bigger.

Makaira wants to find the shadows, that were talking to her when she was a tadpole.
She wants to find the voice that called out to her in her dreams.
She wants to find the endless waters.

With Gorbash's help, she learned how to defend herself. She learned how to read and write. She began praying to the Endless Waters.

And so, her journey begins.
