Growing up in an emotionally abusive family that always prioritized his little sister Ellaini, Kemco found himself craving attention and praise since he can remember – two things he barely ever got from his parents, despite his best efforts.

Failing to meet their impossible expectations, he found comfort in the night. A calm and quiet time during which he didn’t have to prove himself to anyone. His interest for all things astronomy and astrology became an escape from reality he immersed himself in in an attempt to feel less lonely.

When Ellaini, for her own selfish reasons, offered her brother’s soul to the archdevil Fierna, Kemco agreed to the deal so as to not let his family down again. Expectedly, he was soon left alone with this newfound burden as well. Kemco ultimately left home to try and find a way to break the pact again.

As he traveled, the devil gave him the attention and praise he was looking for from his parents his whole life. While a part of him knows that Fierna is just using him, relying on his weaknesses to do so, another doesn't want to lose his value again. For what is he really worth, if no one cares about him?

My little guy!

I play Kemco in our long running Dungeons and Dragons campaign which is based on the official Tomb of Annihilation book. More than two years of weekly sessions and we're still going strong!

Our party consists of some particularly sensitive souls who somehow all struggle to bond with others for some reason or another...

But we're chasing our dreams (and the drama!) as we adventure on, one session at a time.

Kemco tends to stay rather distant and tries to hide his insecurities behind fake smiles and by keeping interactions brief.

Kemco is protective of his family. He is extensively loyal and easily feels responsible, even for things outside of his control.

His heart lies in the stars and the vast mysteries of Realmspace.
The red star Shaundral, which sometimes moves and changes course and sometimes just stands still in the night sky, is particularly interesting to him, as even scholars are yet to discover what secrets it truly holds.
